White or light brown-yellow crystalline powder. Odorless or slightly phenolic. Slightly bitter. Melting point 132～135 ℃. Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol. Used as food additives, pharmaceutical intermediates, etc.
Ethyl 3,4-dihydroxybenzoate is an organic intermediate, which can be obtained by esterification of 3,4-dihydroxybenzoate. It has been reported in the literature that it can be used to prepare the drug Taseva, which can be used for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
